Filmed in the village of Ulupuwene in the Brazilian Amazon, Muri’s Farewell bears witness to the collective mourning and remembrance of Muri, a Wauja shaman, father, and keeper of stories. As his children reflect on his legacy, a nine-day ritual weaves together grief, intertribal encounters, coming-of-age rites, and music within contemporary Wauja life.
